So this past weekend I went to Red Deer for the annual convention and had tons of fun.
Every year there is a theme, and this year it was the 50Th year and the theme was 50's so me and the bosses daughter decided that we were going to dress up in outfits from the 50's.
We went to a thrift store and found poodle skirts, shirts, crinoline's, and more fun stuff. After that we went to build a bear and we built a mascot for the convention to take around with us.
SO when we got to Red Deer we were pretty excited for Friday night. we put on our clothes (our poodle skirts) and we met each other in our rooms.
After that we showed all of the people our dads work with in one of their rooms. Then we went down to the convention part of it. soon to find out that we were the only ones dressed up. Out of maybe 100 people. We got so many funny looks it was crazy. I went up to get some food and the cook started laughing at me, but it was fun anyways and we got lots of pictures. We had a poperotsie(don't know how to spell) following us everywhere. It was really fun.

hey sis! oohhee, look at your blog. beautiful! i had a similar experience. i went to my church to help out with the youth scavigerhunt on night and we all had to dress up in 80's outfits. all of us leaders dressed up but hardly any of the youth did. tom and i had a group of 3 and none of them dressed up. my hair was back combed so high and i had big black and white striped earrings on...i think i showed them to you...any way, the point of the game was to get different pictures doing crazy things that involved strangers some times so tom and i looked pretty silly being dressed up and the others not. we had a good time anyway. love you and miss you a ton!
